1 November 2016 - 2 November 2016
Event Navigation
The momentum created by the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), offers countries around the world a unique opportunity to transform development into sustainable development for all. Overall, the “how” question remains a tremendous challenge as implementing the 2030 Agenda represents an unprecedented collective effort.
This workshop will explore how knowledge, learning processes and a learning-by-doing approach can support the global and national implementation of the 2030 Agenda in synergy with other related global agreements. A selected group of approximately 20 international and German representatives from government, academia and civil society working at national and local levels will discuss key aspects that need to be considered in a learning process approach. The workshop will build on the experiences and results of the Renewable Resources and the SDGs Forum at the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS), which has been working for the past three years on the role of natural resources for sustainable development and in the 2030 Agenda.
