H.E. Macharia Kamau speaks about the importance of getting a good start to the implementation of the 2015 development agenda and the role of cross-cutting role of natural resources, soil and land in the SDGs. Kamau as Kenya’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative at Kenya Mission to the United Nations was co-facilitator of the UN General Assembly Open Working Group (OWG) on Sustainable Development Goals and the Post-2015 Intergovernmental Negotiations. Ambassador Kamau speaks in forefront of a high level event on 2 November 2015 in Nairobi, Kenya on Follow-up and Review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, organized by the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS) in collaboration with UN Habitat, UNEP, Landesa, the Global Land Indicators Initiative and the Global Land Tool Network, and supported by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL).
